- The customer dropped off the vehicle with a battery Malfunction light on. The tech diagnosed the issue and found the drive belt destroyed. The tech recommends to start off with a drive belt and belt tensioner. Spoke with the customer over the phone and explained to the customer what the vehicle needed at this time. The customer gave us the okay to move forward with the repairs. After the tech installed the both pieces, the tech ran a test to the alternator 4x and failed the test. Spoke with the customer over the phone again, and explained what the tech found wrong with the alternator and it is bad at this time, but the customer did not want to move forward with the repair for the alternator. The customer understand the risk is this issue is not resolved.
