  • The customer dropped off the vehicle with a battery Malfunction light on. The tech diagnosed the issue and found the drive belt destroyed. The tech recommends to start off with a drive belt and belt tensioner. Spoke with the customer over the phone and explained to the customer what the vehicle needed at this time. The customer gave us the okay to move forward with the repairs. After the tech installed the both pieces, the tech ran a test to the alternator 4x and failed the test. Spoke with the customer over the phone again, and explained what the tech found wrong with the alternator and it is bad at this time, but the customer did not want to move forward with the repair for the alternator. The customer understand the risk is this issue is not resolved.

  • Tech test drove vehicle before setting the vehicle on the lift. The tech did not hear or notice anything when test driving the vehicle. The tech got back to the shop and set the vehicle on the lift and inspected all of the suspension in the front of the vehicle to inspect the customers complaint. The tech did find anything unsafe with the suspension on the vehicle. Everything seems to be fine with the front suspension components. The tech did notice that the belt on the vehicle was not in great condition at all and the tech recommends to replace the belt and the belt tensioner. Service writer spoke with the customer over the phone and explained that the front suspension is fine as of right now, but the vehicle will need a new belt and belt tensioner. The customer did not want to go forward with the repairs at this time and will pick the vehicle up the way it is with the belt.

Customer Said Water Pump was only 3 weeks Old. Using Scan Tool Tried to Activate Pump and Could not. Test for Power and Ground at Confirmed power and Ground is at plug for Pump. Car needs Water Pump to Start. Customer has declined service at this Time.
