Tech brought vehicle inside shop, Tech removed upper plastic timing cover. Tech tried to the vehicle on and noticed that the timing belt was not moving. Tech checked timing belt and verified the timing belt snapped (reason for vehicle stalling). Service adviser spoke with the customer and explained what the tech found and what needed to be done for the next step. The customer did not want to go forward with the repairs at this time.

DRAINED THE COOLING SYSTEM. REMOVED BATTERY. REMOVED BATTERY TRAY. LOOSEN BOLTS ON PRESSURE LINE ON WATER PUMP. SLACKEN THE TENSIONER AND REMOVE BELT. MOVE PRESSURE LINE TO THE SIDE. WHILE REMOVING WATER PUMP MADE SURE THAT THE COUPLINGS SPRING CLICKS INTO PLACE ON THE BONDED PART OF THE WATER PUMP. INSTALL IN REVERSE ORDER WITHE NEW WATER PUMP W/ COUPLING & BOLTS. REFILLED THE COOLING SYSTEM.
PRESSURE TESTED COOLANT SYSTEM AND FOUND WATER PUMP LEAKING. ALSO FOUND VACUUM PUMP LEAKING OIL CUSTOMER WAS TOLD ABOUT THE ISSUES THAT THE VEHICLE HAD. CUSTOMER WENT FORWARD WITH WATER PUMP AND DENIED REPAIRS TO THE OIL LEAK (VACUUM PUMP) AT THIS TIME.
