  • The tech tested the fuel pump to see if the fuel pump was operating, and the fuel pump is operating properly at this time. The motor is getting fuel. The tech noticed the vehicle is not getting spark. The tech removed one of the spark plugs and noticed the spark plug that was removed was completely fowled out. The tech recommends to start off with new spark plugs at this time. Service advisor spoke with the customer and advised the customer to replace all spark plugs. The customer wanted to proceed with replacing the spark plugs. The tech replaced the spark plugs and as of right now there is no issue with the vehicle.

Research Fault Codes and Test Components as Required. 190302- Diagnostic module for tank leaks (NVLD), fuel tank ventilation system, micro-leak greater than 0.5 mm detected 191C02- Fuel tank ventilation system, 2nd inlet point: malfunction 118002- Mixture control: Fuel-air mixture too rich The tech found a TSB regarding the customer issue. The tech ran multiple test for the tank ventilation system, and found a leak with the fuel tank breather valve. The tech recommends to start off with a new fuel tank breather valve at this time. Spoke with the customer over the phone and explained what was going on with the vehicle and what the tech found at this time. The customer gave us the okay to move forward with the repair at this time.
