• Scan on Board Computer Diagnostic System Using Scan Tools. Retrieve Fault Codes. Research Fault Codes and Test Components as Required. P2187- System too lean at idle Tech noticed the dip stick on the vehicle was not on correctly. Tech cleared any codes stored in the ecu and let vehicle run with the dip stick pushed down all the way. Tech did noticed the Vacuum pump leaking oil when vehicle was on. Spoke with the customer over the phone and related the message to the customer and what the vehicle will need at this time. The customer agreed with the repairs and to move forward with the fix. Tech replaced the parts that needed to be replaced. Tech test drove the vehicle and everything seems to be okay at this time.

• Tech drove car and repeated the noise about the customer complaint. tech verified where the noise was coming from. Tech pointed out that the noise was coming from the transmission. Tech requested to do a drain & refill first. Spoke with the customer and asked if the transmission service was ever done before customer replied no. Told customer that we will have to start off with a drain & refill on the transmission to see if that will help with the noise that is going on with the transmission. customer gave us the okay and to go forward with the transmission service. Tech did the transmission service and drove the call after and the noise is still there. customer did not want to go forward with anything else at this time. • ADD BG ENGNE CLEANER(CPR) TO MOTOR OIL AND RUN FOR 10 MINUTES @ 2,000 RPM. CHANGE ENGINE OIL WITH UP TO 12 QUARTS OF SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL. CHECK AND TOP OFF ALL FLUID LEVELS AS REQUIRED. CHECK AND ADJUST TIRE PRESSURE INCLUDING SPARE TIRE (IF POSSIBLE). PERFORM BATTERY TEST AND REPORT. PERFORM VISUAL SAFETY INSPECTION AND REPORT. ADD BG OIL CONDITIONER (MOA) AFTER OIL SERVICE IS PERFORMED. RESET SERVICE INDICATOR LIGHTS AS REQUIRED.
